On June 24th, lawyer Zhou Zhaocheng confirmed on Weibo that on June 9th, 2025, the Beijing Internet Court had issued a first-instance judgment in the case of Liu Xuezhou, who was cyberbullied to death. The court determined that the statements of the two defendant "Big Vs" constituted defamation, ordering them to bear the responsibility for making a public apology. At the same time, the court awarded a total of 57,000 yuan for the two plaintiffs for mental damages and legal fees. Liu Xuezhou's family members indicated their acceptance of this outcome and they will not appeal.
