Gansu Jingyuan flash flood disaster resulted in 5 people missing. Local authorities are conducting a grid search on foot to rescue them.

Due to heavy rainfall, a mountain torrent disaster occurred in Xinquan Gou, Xinquan Village, Yongxin Township, Jingyuan County, Baiyin City, Gansu Province around 6 pm yesterday, resulting in 5 people missing and some injured. After the disaster, local rescue forces rushed to the scene, and rescued some injured people early this morning. The search and rescue work is still ongoing this morning. According to the on-site reporter of the central station, in order to improve the efficiency of search and rescue, local authorities organized firefighters and police to conduct a net search from both ends of the ravine on foot, and Gansu Provincial Emergency Management Department also dispatched a medium-sized drone to continuously search the disaster area.
