"A 5-year-old boy in Weihai, Shandong Province was beaten to death by his biological mother and her boyfriend," was just sentenced in the Intermediate People's Court of Weihai City, Shandong Province. The boyfriend of the defendant, the biological mother of the boy, Chen Mou, was sentenced to death for intentional homicide; Chen Mou was sentenced to fifteen years and three months in prison for the crimes of intentional injury and operating a gambling establishment. In the criminal civil part, Chen Mou and her boyfriend were ordered to compensate the boy's biological father for funeral expenses, lost wages, and other losses totaling 54,902 yuan.
