Beijing's core telecommunications companies have completed the transformation to IPv6 for their backbone network, metropolitan area network, and access network.

Journalists learned from the press conference of the 2025 Global Digital Economy Conference that the core network, metropolitan area network, and access network of Beijing's basic telecommunications companies have all completed the IPv6 transformation. New gigabit optical networks and 5G networks have all implemented IPv6 deployment, and all large commercial websites support IPv6 access.
