Federal Reserve Vice Chairman Bowman hints at supporting an interest rate cut as early as July, contingent on ongoing inflation decrease.
According to the Wisdom Financial APP, Bowman, the vice chairman of the Federal Reserve responsible for regulatory affairs, said at a research conference in Prague that the current regulatory approach to leverage requirements has had unexpected consequences in the market, so it is "time to reassess this key capital buffer mechanism." At the same time, she also suggested that if inflation pressures are contained, she may support lowering interest rates as early as July.
