Research shows that patients who use the Novo Nordisk weight loss drug Wegovy in combination with the experimental drug bimagrumab, while maintaining muscle mass effectively while losing weight. The results announced at the annual meeting of the American Diabetes Association in Chicago on Monday showed that patients who took the combination of drugs lost 22.1% of their weight in 48 weeks, with 92.8% of that being a reduction in body fat. It is worth noting that in the group taking only bimagrumab, all weight loss was from fat and lean body weight increased by 2.5%.
