Li Qiang held talks with Huang Xuncai. Li Qiang said that China and Singapore are friendly neighbors and important partners. Over the past 35 years of diplomatic relations, under the strategic guidance of leaders from both countries, the traditional friendship between China and Singapore has continued to deepen, bilateral relations have continued to improve, and practical cooperation has yielded fruitful results. President Xi Jinping will meet with the Prime Minister to further plan the deepening of bilateral relations. China is willing to maintain close high-level exchanges with Singapore, strengthen strategic communication, cement political mutual trust, and push for more fruitful results in bilateral relations and cooperation. Li Qiang pointed out that China is willing to make good use of bilateral cooperation mechanisms with Singapore, implement cooperation plans for the Belt and Road initiative, further expand and strengthen flagship cooperation projects, expand trade and investment, create more cooperation highlights in areas such as digital economy and artificial intelligence, actively expand cooperation in third-party markets, and enhance cultural exchanges. Both China and Singapore are beneficiaries and defenders of economic globalization and free trade. They should adhere to open regionalism and true multilateralism, actively promote trade and investment liberalization and facilitation, and maintain stable and smooth global supply chains. China is willing to work with Singapore and other ASEAN countries to promote the timely signing and implementation of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area 3.0 upgrade protocol, implement the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement in a high-quality manner, and accelerate regional economic integration. Huang Xuncai said that the relationship between Singapore and China is getting stronger. Singapore looks forward to seizing the opportunity of the 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations this year to strengthen high-level exchanges and cooperation in various fields with China, deepen friendship and mutual trust, further expand third-party cooperation, and enhance cultural exchanges. Singapore is confident in the Chinese economy and is willing to strengthen multilateral communication and cooperation with China, as well as to uphold free trade and the multilateral trading system. After the talks, the two Prime Ministers witnessed the signing of multiple cooperation documents on talent development, intellectual property, and other areas.
