Two provinces/regions have been publicly reprimanded by the central government for their inadequate efforts in preventing and controlling air pollution.

On the 23rd, the third round of the fourth batch of central ecological and environmental protection inspections focused on typical cases were announced. The inspection pointed out that the atmospheric pollution prevention and control work in Wuhai City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, was inadequate and had many issues. In some cities in Shandong Province, such as Zibo and Dezhou, some key tasks in atmospheric pollution prevention and control were not implemented effectively, and the problem of illegal emissions was more prominent.
