The 16th meeting of the 14th National People's Congress Standing Committee will be held to deliberate on the emergency response law for public health incidents.

The Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC) held a press conference today to introduce the legislative work and answer questions from journalists. The spokesperson announced that the 16th session of the 14th NPC Standing Committee will be held in Beijing from June 24th to 27th. The session will review draft laws on public security management penalties, anti-unfair competition, emergency response to public health incidents, maritime commerce, legal publicity and education, fisheries, civil aviation, etc. It will also review the proposal from the NPC Committee on Social Construction regarding the draft laws on village committee organization and urban resident committee organization. Additionally, it will review the proposal from the State Council on the draft laws on social assistance, medical insurance, food safety, and the proposal to approve the convention on establishing an international mediation court.
