After the United States launched airstrikes on three nuclear facilities in Iran and Tehran vowed retaliation, British Airways suspended flights to Dubai and Doha, further exacerbating the aviation chaos in the Persian Gulf region. According to Flightradar24 data, the London-based airline cancelled multiple flights to Dubai and rerouted two planes to the UAE at night. Flight tracking information showed that one flight departed from Heathrow Airport on Saturday night and diverted to Zurich after entering Saudi airspace early Sunday; another plane bound for Dubai returned to Heathrow after reaching Egypt. Due to operational restrictions and airspace control, British Airways also cancelled flights to the Qatari capital Doha on Sunday and suspended flights to Bahrain until the end of the month. Following Israel's bombing of Iran last week, multiple American and European airlines have also suspended flights to the UAE and Qatar.
