On the 22nd, reporters learned from multiple departments in Hunan that on the evening of the 21st, a group of pipe surges appeared on the Lishui levee in Lixian County, Hunan Province. Currently, the situation is under control after emergency response measures were taken. According to reports, at 18:30 on the 21st, members of the Lixian County levee inspection team found the pipe surges on the right bank of the Lishui River at K8+200 during their inspection. Several pipes were sputtering out fine sand, with a vertical length of 40 meters and an area of about 500 square meters. Local authorities have deployed excavators, loaders, and other mechanical equipment for emergency response, with about 350 people involved in the rescue operation. "Throughout the night, the armed police have filled more than 4300 sandbags and moved more than 6800 sandbags," said a person in charge of the Changde Armed Police Detachment.
