27 rivers across the country experienced floods exceeding warning levels.
From 8:00 on June 21st to 8:00 on June 22nd, due to rainfall, 27 rivers including the main stream and tributaries of Liujiang in Guangxi, Fangcun River, Yunnan River, Bala River, Right River in Yunnan, and Mengtong River in Lancang River Basin experienced flooding above the warning level. The maximum exceedance was 3.71 meters. Among them, Fangcun River in Guangxi, upstream of Liujiang in Guizhou, Bala River, and old Mo River in Yunnan experienced floods above the minor warnings ranging from 0.01 to 2.51 meters. The Mengtong River in Yunnan experienced the largest flood since 1979. In addition, 8 stations in the Liuxia River area of Jiangsu province had water levels above the warning levels ranging from 0.02 to 0.51 meters. Currently, the Ministry of Water Resources has maintained a level IV emergency response for flood defense in Zhejiang, Anhui, Hubei, Hunan, Guangxi, and Guizhou. Three working groups are assisting in guiding flood defense efforts in Hubei, Hunan, and Guangxi.
