Recently, there has been short-term heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and strong convective weather in the North China and Northeast China regions. Meteorological experts say that the strong convective weather in this area is closely related to the meteorological northeast cold vortex. Recently, China's meteorological department conducted a large-scale unmanned aerial vehicle test on the northeast cold vortex for the first time. The sounding data obtained in this experiment will improve the performance of model precipitation forecasts to a certain extent, helping weather forecasters accurately locate the center of heavy rainfall and predict rainfall intensity, thereby improving the timeliness and accuracy of meteorological disaster warnings in northern China.
