According to sources, Meta recently tried to acquire Safe Superintelligence, an AI startup founded by Ilya Sutskever after leaving OpenAI. However, after being rejected, Mark Zuckerberg quickly changed strategy and planned to poach the company's co-founder and CEO, Daniel Gross. Safe Superintelligence, founded just a year ago, reached a staggering valuation of $32 billion in a funding round in April of this year.
