San Francisco Fed President: Starting to cut interest rates this fall is possible San Francisco Federal Reserve Bank President Mary Daly said that cutting interest rates this fall seems more appropriate than taking action at the meeting in July. "For me, I am more considering the fall," Daly said. "By then, we will have more information, and businesses also tell me they are looking forward to having some solutions by then." Daly called the recent three months of unexpectedly mild inflation data "really good news," but warned against acting too quickly.
