Qinghai: The policy to boost consumption has shown effective results, and the consumption situation is gradually improving.

Journalists learned from the Department of Commerce of Qinghai Province on the 20th that since the beginning of this year, the province's commerce system has strengthened the operation and control of consumer consumption, vigorously implemented the total retail sales of social consumer goods, and implemented a series of policies to boost consumption such as trading in old for new, with multiple measures and solid promotion, demonstrating effective results. Efforts have been made to consolidate and enhance the upward trend of consumption. Statistics show that from January to May this year, Qinghai achieved a total retail sales of social consumer goods of 38.72 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 2.5%, an increase of 0.6 percentage points compared with the previous four months. In the month of May, the total retail sales of social consumer goods reached 9.296 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.5%, achieving positive growth of over 4% for three consecutive months.
