Changsha adjusts housing provident fund business policies: relax loan conditions and increase loan amounts.
The Housing Provident Fund Management Committee of Changsha City has adjusted the housing provident fund business policy, changing the original loan conditions of "continuous normal contributions for the past 12 months" to "continuous normal contributions for the past 6 months"; canceling the provision that "both the employee and their spouse have no more than 2 previous housing provident fund loan records"; canceling the provision that "if an employee applies for a housing provident fund loan within 2 years of divorce, and the property owned during the marriage is still in the name of both spouses or one party, regardless of whether it is allocated to the loan applicant, it will be counted as a housing unit for the employee's family". The loan amount will be increased. For employee families who have given birth to a second or third child and purchase their first or second self-occupied house in our city, and it is a newly-built commercial house, the maximum loan amount will be increased by 20% or 30% respectively on the basis of the current highest loan amount in our city. For employee families who also qualify for the increased loan amount for young talents, high-level talents, etc. in our city, the highest possible increase ratio will be the limit, and calculations will not be cumulative. From the date of implementation of the policy, employee families purchasing their first self-occupied house in our city and it is a newly-built commercial house, can apply for housing provident fund withdrawal, and at the same time, can apply for a housing provident fund loan; single employees, as well as employees who contribute to the provident fund from a different location, can apply for a housing provident fund loan to purchase their first or second self-occupied house. For employees purchasing, constructing, renovating or major repairing their first or second self-occupied house and applying for withdrawal of housing provident fund, the provision that "employees who have already withdrawn housing provident fund for purchasing, constructing, renovating, or major repairing their self-occupied houses more than twice are not allowed to do so again for the same reason" will be canceled.
