On June 20, JD.com held a shareholder meeting. It is reported that shareholders asked questions about the progress of the food delivery business, government subsidies, and the long-term value of the company's stock. Recently, government subsidies have received a lot of attention. Regarding the topic of adjustments to government subsidies, JD CEO Xu Ran said that some regions are currently undergoing system upgrades due to the large scale of previous government subsidy activities and the timing being in the middle of the year, but JD expects to continue to use government subsidies normally in the second half of the year. Xu Ran said, "I placed an order today and it works, there is no problem in Beijing." Additionally, Xu Ran stated that JD's performance in the first quarter did not solely rely on government subsidies, with a 15% growth in the daily necessities category in the first quarter and the online-to-offline retail sector being one of JD's important growth drivers in the future.
