Ministry of Water Resources: 14 rivers across the country have experienced flooding above the warning level.
Due to rainfall and upstream water inflow, 14 rivers including the Li River in Hunan, the You River in a tributary of the Yuan River in Hubei, the Wangjiaba River in a tributary of the Yuan River in Chongqing, the Hai River in a tributary of the Minjiang River in Sichuan, the Balai River in a tributary of the Yuan River in Guizhou, the Guyi River in a tributary of the Liujian River in Guangxi, the Longtan River in a tributary of the Nanpan River in Yunnan, and the Shuangcha River in a tributary of the Hulan River in Heilongjiang have experienced floods above the warning level. Among them, the Li River in Hunan has exceeded the warning level along its entire course, with the main stream upstream exceeding the protection level and experiencing the largest flood since 1998; the You River in a tributary of the Yuan River in Hubei has experienced the largest flood since 1958 with actual data. Currently, the Ministry of Water Resources has maintained a Level IV emergency response for flood defense in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Henan, Hubei, Hunan, Guangxi, Chongqing, Guizhou and 9 other provinces; three working groups are assisting and guiding flood defense work in Hubei, Anhui and Hunan.
