Closing of the Japanese and Korean stock markets

The Nikkei 225 index closed down 85.11 points, or 0.22%, at 38403.23 points. The South Korean KOSPI index closed up 44.1 points, or 1.48%, at 3021.84 points, the highest closing price since December 9, 2021.
