Ministry of Water Resources: Will include water rights in the market-oriented allocation reform of resources and environmental elements and actively explore water rights trading.

On June 19th, Li Guoying, Secretary of the Party Group and Minister of the Ministry of Water Resources, presided over a departmental meeting to discuss and deploy the management of water rights trading. The meeting pointed out that, in accordance with the requirements of the General Office of the Central Committee and the General Office of the State Council on "Improving the Market-based Allocation System of Resource and Environmental Elements", water rights should be included in the overall reform of market-based allocation of resource and environmental elements. Actively explore and regulate the trading of water rights, comprehensively improve the system of water rights trading throughout the entire chain, establish sound risk control mechanisms, fully unleash market potential, and promote the smooth flow and efficient allocation of water resource and environmental elements.
