China Construction Enterprises complete construction and open Africa's longest cable-stayed bridge.

The Magufuli Bridge project, the longest cable-stayed bridge in Africa jointly constructed by China Civil Engineering and CR15G, was officially completed and opened to traffic on the 19th in Tanzania. Tanzanian President Hassan attended the opening ceremony and cut the ribbon for the project. Tanzanian Prime Minister Majaliwa, Chinese Ambassador to Tanzania Chen Mingjian, and other officials witnessed the opening ceremony together. The deputy project manager Qin Rong told reporters that the Magufuli Bridge is 4.66 kilometers long with four lanes in each direction, designed for a speed of 120 kilometers per hour. The project has placed high emphasis on local talent development and industrial development during construction, with local employees accounting for nearly 95% of the workforce. The project has created nearly 3000 job opportunities, training over 1500 professional and technical workers.
