Our country is exploring a long-term mechanism of collaboration between traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine in the field of major difficult diseases.

The National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the National Health Commission, and the Health Bureau of the Logistics Support Department of the Central Military Commission recently jointly formulated the "Administrative Measures for the Construction and Management of Major Difficult Diseases Chinese-Western Clinical Cooperation Projects", emphasizing the exploration of establishing a long-term mechanism for Chinese-western clinical cooperation, continuously improving the ability and clinical efficacy of integrated Chinese and Western medicine diagnosis and treatment. According to this measure, the leading units and collaborative units of the project should jointly establish and share laboratories, research rooms, etc., focus on improving the clinical efficacy of collaborative diseases, carry out in-depth multidisciplinary cross-disciplinary collaboration and joint research, organize high-quality integrated Chinese and Western medicine basic research, clinical research, and accelerate the transformation, application, and promotion of research results in integrated Chinese and Western medicine.
