Salesforce is a giant in its field, but one of the company's top strategists, Peter Schwartz, does not believe that they can rest easy in the age of artificial intelligence. As the Chief Future Officer of Salesforce, Schwartz states that the unprecedented pace of change brought about by AI is forcing this software manufacturer to reinvent themselves, or risk being eliminated. "The magnitude of the change is so great that we are currently in a moment where great companies are disappearing and new ones are being born," he said in a recent interview. "If you make wrong acquisition decisions, choose the wrong products, or set the wrong standards, you will be eliminated." At 78 years old, Schwartz has decades of experience as a business strategy analyst, and he describes this wave of AI as the biggest technological shift he has experienced in his lifetime.
