Shenzhen: The clearance time at the reconstructed Huanggang Port will be shortened from half an hour to 5 minutes.
The reconstruction project of Huanggang Port has entered the final sprint stage, and is expected to be basically completed before the end of this year and put into use in 2026. Huanggang Port is the first and only large land port between Shenzhen and Hong Kong that implements 24-hour travel inspection clearance. As the exchanges between Shenzhen and Hong Kong continue to deepen, the original functions of Huanggang Port cannot meet future demands. In 2019, the reconstruction of Huanggang Port was initiated. The reconstructed Huanggang Port will cancel its freight inspection functions and replace the original "two checks in two places" clearance mode with a "cooperative inspection, one-time clearance" approach. Passengers at Huanggang Port will only need to board and disembark once, and queue once to complete the inspection procedures between Shenzhen and Hong Kong. The clearance time will be shortened from the original half an hour to around 5 minutes.
