According to the China Economic APP, if trade negotiations with the Trump administration hit a deadlock, Canada will increase tariffs on American steel and aluminum products next month. According to a statement released on Thursday, the Canadian government stated, "Adjustments will be made to existing retaliatory tariffs on steel and aluminum products on July 21 to align them with progress made in broader trade arrangements with the United States."
