The Financial Times Stock Exchange (FTSE) 100 Index in London closed at 8791.80 points on the 19th, down 51.67 points from the previous trading day, a decrease of 0.58%. The three major stock indexes in Europe all fell on the 19th. Among the individual stocks, the top five performers in the FTSE constituents on that day were: investment company Melrose Industries, whose stock price rose by 2.69%, British Petroleum, whose stock price rose by 1.67%, supply chain services provider Bunzl, whose stock price rose by 1.35%, Shell, whose stock price rose by 1.16%, and telecommunications company Vodafone Group, whose stock price rose by 1.01%.
