Chinese iron tower: "Digital tower" helps drones "jump and fly"

At the ongoing 2025 World Mobile Communications Congress, China Tower showcased the exploration achievements in the low-altitude field, such as drone flight control platform. China Tower has built 2.1 million "communication towers" nationwide and has upgraded a batch of them to "digital towers." Currently, China Tower is piloting the installation of drone nests on communication towers. Based on the resource endowment and competitive advantages of "location + computation + power + security", it can provide services such as drone takeoff and landing, charging and endurance, storage, and localized full-time maintenance, helping to achieve drones' capability to "fly up, fly far, and be well-managed."
