Deputy Governor of the central bank, Xuan Changneng, presided over the organization of the 68th Meeting of Deputy Heads of the East Asia and Pacific Central Banks and attended the relevant meetings.
The People's Bank of China hosted a series of meetings in Hangzhou on June 18th and 19th, including the 68th Deputy Governors' meeting of the East Asian and Pacific Central Banks, the 37th Monetary and Financial Stability Committee meeting of EMEAP, the 44th meeting of the Asian Bond Fund Supervisory Committee, and the 40th meeting of the Pan-Asian Index Fund Regulatory Committee. Deputy Governor of the People's Bank of China, Pan Changneng, attended the relevant meetings and chaired the 68th Deputy Governors' meeting of the East Asian and Pacific Central Banks. Discussions were held with various parties on global and regional economic and financial situations, monetary policy frameworks and communication strategies in the context of supply-side shocks, risks in non-bank financial institutions, and the impact of artificial intelligence development on economic and financial stability. Progress reports from EMEAP working groups were reviewed, and discussions were held on the future reform and development of the EMEAP mechanism.
