Short-term heavy rains appeared in 28 counties, and various departments in Guizhou actively responded to flood prevention and control.
According to the Guizhou Provincial Meteorological Bureau, from 8:00 on the 18th to 8:00 on the 19th, a total of 28 counties and 604 meteorological observation stations in Guizhou Province experienced short-term heavy rainfall due to a new round of heavy rainfall. The maximum rainfall was 268.8 mm, and the maximum hourly rainfall intensity was 85.7 mm. Among them, two counties in Guizhou, Zhijin and Qianxi, experienced torrential rain, while 12 counties including Qixingguan, Bozhou, and Dafang experienced heavy rain. After comprehensive assessment, the Guizhou Provincial Meteorological Bureau has activated a level three emergency response to meteorological disasters. Currently, the Guizhou Provincial Meteorological Department has upgraded the yellow warning for heavy rain to an orange warning.
