Russian state atomic energy corporation: Some Russian experts have been withdrawn from the Bushehr nuclear power plant in Iran.

On June 19th local time, the general director of the Russian State Atomic Energy Corporation, Ligachyov, stated at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum that an attack on the Bushehr nuclear power plant in Iran could lead to a disaster comparable to the Chernobyl nuclear accident. Ligachyov said that some Russian experts have already been evacuated from the power plant, while others are considered able to stay. Ligachyov added that the Russian State Atomic Energy Corporation is calling on Israeli authorities not to make any hints of attacking the Bushehr nuclear power plant.
