Estonia will rent prisons to Sweden.

The Estonian Ministry of Justice and Digital Affairs announced on the 18th that Estonia and Sweden signed a prison leasing agreement that day. Sweden will use Estonia's Tallinn Prison to detain prisoners in order to alleviate the overcrowding pressure in its own prison system. The announcement stated that the agreement will last for five years and will come into effect after approval by the parliaments of both countries.
