Purchase of over 6000 units of existing housing stock in Guangzhou has been accelerated.

In 2024, Guangzhou obtained a special loan credit amount of 409.6 billion yuan for the renovation of urban villages, part of which is used for ordering existing commercial housing. On June 18th, it was reported that with the support of the special loan, as of May, Guangzhou had subscribed to more than 6,000 existing houses for resettlement. A reference data is that from January to May this year, the average monthly transaction volume of new houses in Guangzhou was 5,213 units. Although Guangzhou has not yet disclosed the approximate budget and number of existing commercial housing acquisitions, it is clear that the acquisition process is still ongoing.
