On June 18, the public reported that a water body in Matun Village, Yanshi District, Luoyang City, Henan Province, suddenly turned pink, as if a large amount of pigment had been poured into it. Yanshi District Government responded: In response to the red water situation in the middle section of the dam at the east canal of Matun Village, Goushi Town, the district government immediately set up a joint investigation team composed of departments such as ecological environment, public security, and local government to investigate the enterprises on both sides of the river and sample the water in the river. Currently, relevant work is being accelerated, and the investigation and disposal situation will be timely announced to the public.
