The Export-Import Bank of China issued 10 billion yuan in theme bonds to support Shanghai's stable foreign trade and promote development.

During the 2025 Lujiazui Forum, the "Supporting Shanghai's Stable Foreign Trade and Promoting Development Theme Bond" issuance ceremony by the Export-Import Bank of China was held in Shanghai. The bond has a term of 1 year, with an amount of 10 billion RMB, and the funds raised will be mainly used to support the operation and development of key foreign trade enterprises in Shanghai, covering key areas such as shipping, high-tech, energy security, and supply chain in the foreign trade industry. The issuance of this bond, a joint effort by the Shanghai municipal government and the Export-Import Bank of China, aims to actively respond to global economic changes, promote stable growth of Shanghai's foreign trade with greater intensity, and promote financial openness, cooperation, and high-quality development.
