The current Czech government survived a vote of no confidence in parliament.
On June 18th, local time, the Czech Parliament's Chamber of Deputies voted to reject a motion of no confidence in Prime Minister Babi's government. The coalition government led by Czech Prime Minister Babi is thus able to continue governing. The voting results showed that 94 votes were in favor of the motion of no confidence, 98 votes were against it, and a total of 192 members of parliament participated in the vote of no confidence. In the Czech Chamber of Deputies, which has 200 seats, the motion of no confidence did not pass as the votes in favor did not reach an absolute majority of 101 votes.
