American steel company reaches a deal with Japanese iron manufacturer.

Japan Steel and United States Steel announced on June 18 that they have completed a historic collaboration. The partnership between the two companies will protect and create over 100,000 jobs, and through significant investments, United States Steel Corporation will expand its steelmaking operations in Pennsylvania, Indiana, Arkansas, Minnesota, and Alabama. This partnership will ensure that United States Steel Corporation retains its name and headquarters in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and continues to mine, melt, and manufacture steel in the United States for generations to come.
