This year, the number of Japanese and Korean passengers at Qingdao Airport has exceeded one million.

Since the beginning of this year, Qingdao Airport has maintained a high level of inbound and outbound travel activity. As of June 15th, the number of passengers traveling between Qingdao Airport and Japan and South Korea has exceeded 1 million, reaching this target 36 days ahead of schedule compared to 2024, with a 48% year-on-year increase in the number of visa-free arrivals from Japan and South Korea. Since the summer season, Qingdao Airport has been continuously improving its network of flights to Japan and South Korea. With the approaching summer season, Qingdao Airport plans to open new routes to destinations such as Shizuoka, coordinate with airlines to increase the deployment of wide-body aircraft, and simultaneously launch discounted service products, providing passengers with more flight choices and affordability.
