People's Bank of China Wang Xin: Central banks need to take measures to address structural changes.

On June 18, 2025, at the Lujiazui Forum "Session II: Enhancing the Coordination of Global Monetary Policies," Wang Xin, Director of the Research Bureau of the People's Bank of China, stated that current structural changes such as climate deterioration and widespread use of AI may have significant impacts on the key objectives of central banks. Therefore, central banks need to take important measures, including improving macroeconomic analysis, strengthening effective communication with the market, further refining the direction of monetary policy regulation, and conducting risk assessments and stress tests.
