Issued the Mid-to-Long-Term Plan for the Innovation and Development of Hydrogen Energy Industry in Fujian Province.

The Development and Reform Commission of Fujian Province recently issued the "Fujian Province Medium and Long-Term Plan for the Innovation and Development of the Hydrogen Energy Industry". It proposes that the period from 2025 to 2030 will be the initial development stage. By then, more than 10 high-level innovation platforms will be established, 1-3 hundred megawatts green hydrogen demonstration projects will be cultivated, 1-3 hydrogen-based green ship fueling port demonstration projects will be built, 50 hydrogen refueling stations of various types will be constructed, 10 operational demonstration lines will be created in ports, industrial parks, or urban areas, and the production of fuel cell vehicles will reach 6,000 units per year, achieving commercial-scale application of hydrogen energy. Priority will be given to promoting green methanol projects for maritime propulsion, focusing on core technologies, accelerating pilot testing and small-scale industrialization, improving conversion efficiency, reducing production and transportation costs, forming industrial competitive advantages, attracting leading technology companies, and establishing a scale-based green hydrogen fuel supply base. Efforts will be made to achieve a green hydrogen production capacity of 30,000 tons per year, a hydrogen-based green fuel production capacity of 100,000 tons per year, and the total output value of the hydrogen energy industry will exceed 60 billion yuan per year. The period from 2030 to 2035 will be a period of rapid advancement. The hydrogen energy industry in the province will enter a stage of rapid development, with scale, quality and efficiency comprehensively improved, achieving a green hydrogen production capacity of 100,000 tons per year and a hydrogen-based green fuel production capacity of 1 million tons per year. Green hydrogen will account for over 40% of the hydrogen sources in our province, establishing important green hydrogen and hydrogen-based green fuel supply bases, transportation hubs and refueling centers along the southeast coast, forming an industry system covering multiple application scenarios in transportation, energy storage, industry, etc., with a total output value exceeding 300 billion yuan per year.
