The international airport website in Bali, Indonesia showed on the 18th that dozens of flights to and from Bali were canceled due to a volcanic eruption, including flights from airlines such as Jetstar and Virgin Australia. Earlier, according to the Indonesia Lombok Volcano Observatory, on the 17th local time, the Mount Rinjani volcano in East Nusa Tenggara province of Indonesia erupted, with a volcanic ash column reaching up to 10,000 meters. Officials from Indonesia's National Disaster Mitigation Agency stated that monitoring personnel are continuously observing the volcanic activity on-site, and as of now, no reports of casualties due to the volcanic eruption have been received.
