Argentina establishes the Federal Investigation Department
Argentine President Milae announced the establishment of the Federal Investigation Department on the 17th. The department will be the core agency of the Argentine Federal Police. Milae and Argentine Minister of National Security Patricia Bullrich made this decision at the headquarters of the Argentine Mounted Police. Milae emphasized, "The Argentine government should not lag behind drug traffickers and terrorists in technological capabilities." According to the Argentine presidential palace, the Federal Investigation Department will become the core agency of the Argentine Federal Police, working in coordination with the Ministry of National Security to carry out criminal investigations and combat criminal organizations. The Argentine Federal Police will transform into a force dedicated to criminal investigations, rather than patrol the streets.
