Guangdong Suijiang Huaiji section of the river continues to rise, exceeding the historical highest water level.

On June 18th, it was reported by the Zhaoqing Hydrological Sub-bureau of Guangdong Provincial Hydrological Bureau that the water level at the Suijiang Huaiji station reached 55.2 meters at 6:50 am. This water level has already exceeded the historical record of the highest water level of 54.79 meters measured at the station on July 22, 1955. According to the "Zhaoqing Hydrological Sub-bureau Flood Control, Drought Prevention, Wind and Hydrological Emergency Measurement and Reporting Plan", the Zhaoqing Hydrological Sub-bureau has raised the flood control hydrological measurement and reporting level III emergency response to level II emergency response as of 12:00 am on June 18th.
