Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Group Limited announced on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange that it plans to issue 46,808,000 H shares for listing in Hong Kong (subject to adjustment for the exercise of the over-allotment option and the additional share allotment option); the issue price is HK$24.00 per share. It is expected that the shares will start trading on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on June 26th.

The vice chairman of Japan Steel Corporation said on Thursday that the company may provide funding for the $14.1 billion acquisition of an American steel company and related investment commitments through issuing stocks. Takahiro Mori, the vice chairman of Japan Steel, stated, "We do not rule out providing funding for the investment in the American steel company through equity financing." He added that the company will seek solutions to avoid diluting the rights of existing shareholders, but did not disclose further details. The Japanese company received approval from the White House for the acquisition last weekend, with President Trump confirming his support for the deal on the condition that Japan make concessions, including providing so-called "golden shares" to the U.S. government. Initial market expectations of growth in the new market had driven up Japan Steel's stock price, but concerns about potential dilution of shareholder rights have been a factor weighing down the stock price for most of this week. The company's stock rose 2.6% in early and late trading in the Tokyo stock market, after falling for two consecutive days. The Japanese government also welcomed the deal, stating that it would help improve the investment environment and strengthen U.S.-Japan relations.
