According to data from the National Bureau of Statistics, the cumulative coal production from January to May was 1.98537 billion tons, with a year-on-year growth rate of 6.0%, a decrease of 0.6 percentage points compared to the period from January to April. June is the month for safe production, and with stricter environmental inspections in the main producing areas and pressure on sales, there are signs of further contraction in production. Monitoring data from CCTD shows that as of mid-June, the utilization rate of coal mines in the Shanxi, Shaanxi, and Inner Mongolia coal sample areas was 80.7%, lower than the May average and 1.5 percentage points lower than the same period last year. In terms of ports, although market prices are relatively stable, sellers still face difficulties in actual shipments, compounded by the impact of shipping delays, leading to continued suppression of spot port collections, while port inventories continue to decline. According to CCTD monitoring, the main coal ports around the Bohai Sea currently have 28.68 million tons of coal in stock, a decrease of 4.48 million tons from the previous high point, a decrease of 13.5%.
