Strategist: The revision of the Fed's economic forecasts and dot plot has become crucial.
Credit Mutuel Asset Management strategist Francois Rimeu said in a report that the key issue of this week's Federal Reserve meeting is the revision of economic forecasts and the dot plot. Expected adjustments related to economic policy developments should reflect a slowdown in growth, inflation persisting longer than expected, despite some surprising developments in recent months, and a weakening labor market. Against a backdrop of stagflation risks and high uncertainty, the Federal Reserve may reiterate its cautious stance. Therefore, as long as hard data does not clearly demonstrate that accommodative policy is warranted, the Fed will delay any new rate cuts. In line with the market, this strategy expects the Fed to maintain key interest rates unchanged this week.
