Beijing: From January to May, the added value of industrial enterprises above designated size in the city increased by 6.8% year-on-year.

On June 17, according to the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Statistics, from January to May, the added value of the city's industrial enterprises above a designated size increased by 6.8% at comparable prices. Among the key industries, the manufacturing of computers, communications, and other electronic equipment grew by 27.2%, automobile manufacturing grew by 13.9%, electricity and heat production and supply grew by 4.6%, and pharmaceutical manufacturing decreased by 10.5%; the five major equipment manufacturing industries grew by 8.3%. The export delivery value of industrial enterprises above a designated size reached 84.57 billion yuan, an increase of 3.5%, with the automobile and pharmaceutical manufacturing industries increasing by 37.9% and 23.7% respectively. The production of some high-end or emerging products has grown rapidly, with the output of new energy vehicles, wind power generator sets, integrated circuits, and liquid crystal display modules increasing by 1.5 times, 24.8%, 15.4%, and 8.6% respectively.
