The British maritime security company Ambrey now says that the incident that occurred 22 nautical miles east of Khor Fakkan in the United Arab Emirates near the Strait of Hormuz is unrelated to safety. This incident comes amidst escalating tensions between Israel and Iran. Israel launched a large-scale attack last Friday aimed at stopping Tehran from manufacturing nuclear weapons, with the two countries attacking each other for the fifth consecutive day. The Strait of Hormuz is located between Oman and Iran, and is an important shipping route for about one-fifth of the world's oil, connecting the northern Gulf with the southern Arabian Sea and beyond.
