In the program aired on June 16th on the American Broadcasting Company, when asked by host Jonathan Karl whether Israel will continue to target Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu said, "We will do what needs to be done, I do not intend to discuss specific details." When asked about reports in the media that President Trump vetoed a plan to assassinate Khamenei, Jonathan Karl suggested this was because Trump was concerned about escalating tensions.
