News claims that TSMC's factory in Arizona, USA has reached a milestone: it has produced the first batch of chip wafers for Apple and others.

According to a report by Taiwan's Commercial Times, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) has produced the first batch of chips in its factory in Arizona for technology companies Apple, Nvidia, and AMD, marking the localization of chip manufacturing in the United States. However, despite the breakthrough in chip manufacturing in the U.S., advanced packaging capacity still remains primarily in Taiwan, China. It is understood that Nvidia's Blackwell series GPU, after completing the wafer manufacturing process, will be sent back to Taiwan for packaging.
